Milestones Brunch

Hello everybody
It's the weekend, and weekends, people tend to relax so why not brunch. Breakfast and Lunch all rolled into one. Or why not do a breakfast brunch and lunch. 3 meals hooray.

But being the weekend looking for a brunch meal, we ended up going to milestones seeing the brunch sign up.

I've usually gone to Milestones for dinner, but seeing that they now have brunch, said why not. With multiple locations they haven't been that bad.

California Eggs Benny

These were tasty Eggs Benedict's. These came with shrimp, avocado salsa and bacon on a well cooked runny poached eggs and breakfast fries. But really my question is what is the difference between breakfast fries and regular french fries. Fries are always tasty either way. These were tasty yet a little expensive for a breakfast item at $15.50. Yum Yum

Strawberries and Cream French Toast

These french toasts were delicious. But really anything with syrup is pretty good. Strawberries thank you. Not a fan of cream but everything else, bread, strawberries and syrup yes please. At $10.50 these were pretty good.

Breakfast Tacos

The breakfast tacos are not that bad. Tacos good, bacon eggs good, salsa good, what can go wrong. Though it's a little small for my liking, at $11 but these aren't that bad. Even comes with fries. I would still go with other breakfast burritos but these will have to do for now.

Now that brunch is over, enjoy the rest of your meals

Captains Boil

Aargh  maties

Heres another round of food tastin, reviewin, travellin, and sailin into my tastebuds.
Coming back to Toronto, there is a wide variety of different foods to try. But the more places to try, the harder it gets to decide on what to eat. This time it was all aboard to the Captains Boil. Have heard great things and always wanted to try this place out. Hot steaming shellfish served in a bag, it has the fun aspect of seeing the food and sharing with friends. They have 3 different flavours but going with the captains boil flavours gives a mixture of all three. I would say, just get the captains boil unless your sure of one flavour you prefer.

Mussels

Usually I'm not a huge fan of mussels, because it's small and lacks flavour for me, or just get's overpowered by the sauce, but these were some nice tasting mussels. This was the spicy heat but wasn't that spicy. These were the biggest mussels I've tried. It felt like I was eating chicken wings, heavy and saucy, the shell fills up with the sauces and was a great combination of meat to sauce. This was 10.95$ and it was a good filling amount.

Shrimps

These shrimps were good. I'm usually a fan of shrimp, and like all shrimp. I can eat shrimp all day. These have the head and shell on it, and all perfectly edible, since it's all flavoured. The was the medium heat but was spicier than the spicy mussels that we ordered. At 12.95$ I would get the mussels if I was going alone, but definitely good to share.

Cajun fries and Cajun Seafood Fried Rice

The fries at 4.95$ and rice at 10.95$ depends on which you prefer, but both aren't bad. The rice is tasty even as it cools, but the rice is super tasty when hot and spicy. Honestly I feel like you need a carb, I love carbs with all the proteins and spice to help balance it out. So I would say pick one side, the rice is fun since you can pick the meat off and put it on the rice. The fries are just tasty.

So all in all, going with a buddy, this was way to much food for both of us. But it was tasty. I would recommended it for people to try. They have other proteins beside seafood, but and between the two of us it came to about 25$ each. So shiver me timbers, and yo ho ho to the Captains Boil.
They also give you a fun bib to not splatter all over yourself and gloves to not messy up those pretty fingers.

Toronto

Hello everyone,

So since schools done, it's time for many people to go back home.  For the moment I've put a pause of visiting different Peterborough restaurants, and will be doing reviews on Toronto restaurants that I visit. Theres a far more variety in Toronto, it'll be hard to try everything but I'll see whats available.

Cheers.
